In addition, there are a number of chapels ready to go that come complete with decorations and other traditional wedding elements that cost a fraction of what it costs to throw a wedding on your own.

What to Spend the Savings On

The great thing about eloping is that it frees up so much money to other things you love. Even flying to a great destination to elope is far cheaper than paying for a traditional wedding at home. Would you rather spend $500 for a DJ for your reception or would you rather spend that on a luxury hotel room for the week?
